All Wales Outcomes Mentors Network Day

Several individuals involved in the project attended the first All Wales Outcomes Mentors Network Day held in Powys.

Following on from the ‘Mentoring & Coaching leaders of the transformational change’ training, this event held by Social Care Wales provided an opportunity to share good practice, and network and liaise with other professionals from across the Country.  Its aim was to support mentors of the collaborative conversations and outcome focussed approach across Wales.

Discussions were held in respect of what people were noticing about the impact of their work with individuals and across organisations, and also around what the current challenges are to working in an outcome focussed way.  Of note, it was interesting to hear the wide range of experiences in implementing this approach, in particular within adult services and across its service specialisms.  We noticed the variation in investment between Authorities to the approach and how well this was integrated into its wider intervention strategy.  This was the first of a series of national events hosted by Social Care Wales to support this work and help practice learning and mature.
