All Wales Outcomes Mentors Network Day (Llandrindod)

The second All Wales Outcomes Mentors Network Day was held in Llandrindod and had over 70 people from across Wales attending. Wendy Roberts was asked to present an overview of the Effective Child Protection Model to share our experience of outcome focussed work in the child protection arena. Also presenting were individuals from Denbighshire with ‘From resource panels to reflection and shared decision making’, and Monmouthshire Council with ‘Partnership working: shared understanding for better outcomes’.

There was opportunity for discussion within groups as to the strengths, priority risks and the learning taken from each presentation, followed up with a question and answer session with each presenter.

Sharing experiences across Wales and learning from the good practice that is out there offers valuable insight and ideas for workers within both children’s and adult’s services. It was a great opportunity to share both the vision for the ECP project and the work that has been carried out to date.
