Mentoring & Coaching leaders of the transformational change

Key individuals involved in the project attended a series of reflective workshops for Children’s and Adult’s Services staff to consider how we embed working collaboratively into practice, and also working in a strengths based and outcome focussed way. This training developed mentoring skills amongst practitioners in Gwynedd across both Adult and Children Services so that a pool of mentors were in place to support the implementation of the collaborative conversations and outcomes focussed approach.  The training allowed an opportunity to revisit the key principles of outcome focussed work, and for considering how as mentors we may influence others, both within and outside of the Local Authority.

The training days allowed ideas to be shared and developed around how the ECP project is able to support frontline staff when considering the ‘conversations’ element of the ECP model. Completion of the training has enabled those involved to sign up to an All Wales Mentors Network in order to share ideas and good practice.
